This adaptation moved The Misanthrope to “Celi’s” bedroom in modern day Bensonhurst, Brookyln. The flirty, feminine room was designed to make Al, the misanthrope, ill at ease. The scenery and costumes drew on the recent Baroque and Rococo revival for inspiration.
