The design objective was to evoke an early Renaissance world of changing beliefs in the power of fate versus self determination. The unit set had to accommodate a large cast, stage battles and multiple locations such as the mountains and the king’s court. The turntable suggested an astrological tool and its rotation created level changes to suggest movement between locations.
